Dysphasia and aphasia. Language through alternative channels to verbal-oral-auditory (pictograms). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serious motor problems. Depending on the type of residual mobility, there are various systems available.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"244\" height=\"206\" src=\"https:\/\/neuropediatoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-12.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5572\" style=\"width:517px;height:436px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/neuropediatoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-12.png 244w, https:\/\/neuropediatoolkit.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-12-14x12.png 14w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 244px) 100vw, 244px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An individualized communication profile is established. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item\"><summary class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__title\"><div>Cognitive and language training. <\/div><\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There are usually 2 scenarios: \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>People with previously normal language (older children or adults) who, as a result of an acquired condition, lose the ability to communicate autonomously. Once the communication barrier is identified, the implementation and learning of the technology is usually rapid. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Children with congenital diseases who do not have the ability to communicate, and who have never developed language, or are not yet old enough to have done so. In this case, the process is longer, since we will have to progressively increase the complexity of the communication system, and reciprocally, the implementation of the communication system will provide learning experiences for language development. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You have to train the language prerequisites (cognition, attention, communicative intention, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A personalized vocabulary must be selected that the individual is capable of handling, and then expand it as new needs arise. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For example, in children under 3 years of age with serious neurological diseases who can only voluntarily use eye movements, we would have to start using analog communicators with a YES\/NO response and progressively increase the number of symbols depending on the child's capabilities.
