Referral criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All children who have problems having a normal dream fall within this concept, but the identification of what is a normal dream and a pathological dream can become a problem, since it varies depending on age. There are&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/neuropediatoolkit.org\/en\/desarrollo-del-sueno\/\">normograms<\/a>&nbsp;in order to know the normal development of sleep in childhood for adequate referral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Urgent Referral: Not indicated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cHigh resolution\u201d referral: Sleep disorder in the context of epileptic encephalopathy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preferred referral: Sleep disorder in the context of severe neurodevelopmental disorder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ordinary referral: Daytime hypersomnia not due to sleep deprivation. Sleep disorder in children with mild neurological comorbidity. Parasomnias.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not indicated: Sleep disorder due to incorrect associations\/behavioral insomnia of childhood (children without neurological pathology). Sleep disorder due to phase delay (adolescents without neurological pathology). Sleep disorder associated with abuse of new technologies. Sleep disorder secondary to obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. Daytime hypersomnia due to sleep deprivation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Minimum data of the interconsultation.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Diary or sleep diary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video recording of events that occur during sleep.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Family history of neurodevelopmental disorders, consanguinity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Family structure, socioeconomic situation and coexistence dynamics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perinatal history.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development history. It should include a Haizea-Llevant screening if there is suspicion of developmental delay, and an M-CHAT if there is suspicion of autism spectrum disorder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Neurological examination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analysis including iron metabolism.<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
