Prophylaxis with nirsevimab is recommended for the prevention of severe lower respiratory tract diseases caused by RSV, during periods of expected risk of RSV infection, in:

  • Patients under 24 months of age affected by neuromuscular diseases with marked hypotonia and/or respiratory muscle weakness.
  • Patients under 24 months of age affected by static or
    chromosomal diseases presenting with marked hypotonia (e.g., Prader-Willi syndrome).
